As summer winds down, we’re highlighting two more interns who have spent their summer learning, contributing, and gaining real-world experience at Nucor Steel Brandenburg!
⚙️ Amanda Beall — Plate Finishing Engineer Intern
What has stood out to you most about the team culture at Nucor?
“What has stood out to me most is how willing everyone is to help and share their knowledge. Even though I came in as an intern, I felt like my questions and ideas were taken seriously, and I was able to learn from people across different roles in the plant.”

What advice would you give future interns considering Nucor?
“I was originally on the fence about pursuing an internship at Nucor. Being a CS major, I didn’t see much opportunity to grow my skills here. However, my supervisor gave me a project that was very clearly developed with my skill set in mind. I would suggest keeping an open mind — there are roles for every major here.”
From finding opportunities they may not have expected to seeing their ideas and work put into action, Amanda and Rami have made the most of their summer with our team. 💪
