This month, we're revisiting 1982 and the early days of K&K Aircraft, founded by the Stoltzfus family in 1967 right here in Harrisonburg, the foundation of what we now know as Dynamic Aviation.

Featured below are several of K&K's Beech 18s lined up in front of what is today Building 1 on our campus.

These aircraft represent more than just our spray operations heritage; they capture the endowment factors that shaped our DNA from 1967 forward: the drive to modify aircraft for specialized missions and deploy them where the work needed to happen.

That building behind them? It housed everything we did back then. Every square foot of shop space that exists across our facilities today traces back to that single structure.

The same spirit that guided those early spray operations, modify, operate, and sustain modified aircraft to solve real problems, continues to define us today.

Last week’s snow and freezing temperatures across Virginia didn’t slow our mission.

While winter weather brings added challenges, our teams showed up, focused, prepared, and committed to doing the job the right way. From cold-weather maintenance and preflights to keeping ramps, hangars, and access areas clear, every role played a critical part in safe and successful operations.
