A reliable connection starts before you pull the trigger.

Proper jaw alignment on the fitting’s press contour is a critical step in the installation process. Taking the time to position the tool correctly helps ensure a consistent press and confidence in every connection.

Deflection is a normal part of the pressing process. Because the fitting moves toward the jaw opening during a press, the pipe will move in the opposite direction.

One way to help minimize deflection is by using alternate press directions. When making multiple presses on a fitting, press one end first, then make the second press from the opposite side. This helps balance fitting movement, reduce overall deflection and maintain alignment throughout the installation. 👌
