Our team recently had the opportunity to tour the LP SmartSide mill in Two Harbors, MN, and walk away with a deeper appreciation for a product we already love putting on our homes. From the manufacturing process to the people behind it, the behind-the-scenes access reminds us why sourcing locally and building with quality materials isn't just good practice — it's the only way to do it.

LP SmartSide is on our homes for a reason. Days like this one just make it that much easier to stand behind.

We're taking a look at the progress of this incredible Afton home — and while the scale of this 10,000+ sq ft custom build turns heads, it's what's happening up close that really tells the story. The tile work. The woodwork. The finishes being set by hand by people who care whether it's right, not just whether it's done.

🏆 Reggie Award winners — and we couldn't be more proud.

Our Milan model at The Hills at Johnson Ridge in Eden Prairie was honored by Housing First MN in the $1.2-1.5 million category. The Reggie recognizes the best in design, craftsmanship, and value from the Parade of Homes Minnesota.

From the cottage-inspired palette of sage, cream, and white — to the sunroom bathed in natural light — to the gourmet kitchen built for real life, every detail of the Milan was designed with intention.

“We wanted to highlight some of the exterior elements and bring them into the interior,” shares Mary Hoppe, lead designer at McDonald Construction. “We took that coastal, traditional feel and brought in some of that crisp, timeless color palette throughout the house.”
