🌬️ IAQ WEDNESDAY
What’s Actually Floating Around Inside Your Home? 👀
Your home may look clean…but what about the air you’re breathing?
Every time your HVAC system runs, air is continuously circulating throughout your home—and along with it can come some unwanted passengers:
🐾 Pet dander
🌴 Pollen & outdoor allergens
🧹 Dust & fine particles
🍳 Cooking odors & VOCs
🦠 Mold spores & other airborne contaminants
And here in Southwest Florida, our homes stay closed up with the AC running for a huge portion of the year. That makes your home’s Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) something worth paying attention to.
Your standard HVAC filter is important, but its primary job is to help protect your HVAC equipment by capturing particles as air passes through it. Depending on the filter and system, it can help with indoor particles—but filtration is only one piece of indoor air quality.
IAQ can also involve proper filtration, humidity control, ventilation, keeping your HVAC system clean, and additional air-cleaning technology when appropriate.
💡 HOMEOWNER TIP:
If your home seems unusually dusty, has lingering odors, feels humid, or you have pets, it may be worth taking a closer look at your indoor air quality.
Because comfort isn’t just about the temperature on your thermostat—it’s about the air inside your home, too. 💙💛
