"When I first saw the GACW Air Suspension Wheel concept in 2021 I thought, why did not I think of this?
I worked for 35 years as a Drivetrain Engineer and Technical Manager innovating and developing mechanical components for the World Leader in Mining & Construction equipment manufacturing.
I am named on multiple patents and have lectured on product innovation at the University level and I am confident in stating that the GACW Air Suspension Wheel is one of the most revolutionary product ideas I have ever seen!
Large mining dump trucks and wheel loaders, the "Monster Machines" you have seen on television are designed to be rebuilt multiple times during their economic life. Engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, hydraulics, all the major components that can wear out on the machines can be rebuilt except one, the rubber tires. Tires made from 10,000+ lbs of rubber and costing upwards of $50,000 each are used once and when worn out, are at best ground up and used for landscape mulch, and at worst discarded in landfills where they can take hundreds of years to decompose.
In some cases these "Monster Tires" only last 1 year before 40,000 to 60,000 lbs of rubber per machine needs to be cut up or buried when the tires are damaged or worn out. Space X revolutionized the space transport industry when they developed the re-usable Falcon 9 Rocket booster. The revolution was a rocket booster which can return to earth and be rebuilt after launch, saving millions of dollars in material for each launch. GACW is creating the same revolution in the off highway tire & wheel industry by developing the Air Suspension Wheel.
The Air Suspension Wheel can be rebuilt and reused multiple times during a mining machine's life. The ability to rebuild and reuse the Air Suspension Wheels will potentially save mining companies hundreds of thousands and even millions of dollars in repair and maintenance costs as well as improving our environment by not having to dispose of hundreds of thousands of pounds of rubber tires each year.
Most importantly the Air Suspension Wheel contains a fraction of the explosive energy of a fully inflated conventional rubber tire. This fact makes the Air Suspension Wheel much, much safer for mining personal to operate and support their machines. Machines using the Air Suspension wheel can also operate in environments where machines with rubber tires can not.
I have been a participant in multiple GACW investment campaigns since 2021 and have been following their product development process closely. I have been very impressed with the evolution of the Air Suspension Wheel designs and how they have been improved and adapted for the mining dump truck and wheel loaders I designed and developed. GACW continues to invest proceeds from their StartEngine campaigns to improve the Air Cylinder Wheels performance and durability in real world mining applications.
