On May 28, 2024, Energy Transfer announced plans to acquire WTG Midstream for $3.25 billion, adding the largest private Permian gas gathering and processing business to our portfolio. The transaction expanded our network in the Midland Basin core with eight processing plants and over 6,000 miles of gas gathering pipelines.

Good news for Energy Transfer!

Greenpeace International (GPI) suffered a setback in its attempt to sidestep a $345 million judgment when the North Dakota Supreme Court instructed the district court to issue an antisuit injunction against a parallel lawsuit pending in a Dutch court.

On this day in 2010, Energy Transfer completed its acquisition of the general partner of Regency Energy Partners LP. In addition, Regency acquired a 49.9% ownership interest in the Midcontinent Express Pipeline from Energy Transfer.

Then later in 2015, Energy Transfer and Regency fully merged to become one of the largest gathering and processing MLPs in the U.S. with a broadened portfolio in the Marcellus and Utica shale plays.

Today, America dedicates time to decorate soldiers' graves and host heartfelt ceremonies in honor of the men and women who have died while preserving our freedoms.
As we celebrate this national holiday, we salute our military and reflect on their sacrifices that make it possible for us to live in peace here in the U.S.

We are proud to give $25,000 this month to Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to the family members of fallen and disabled service members.

Colonel Tom Magness, former commander in the US Army Corps of Engineers, highlights in his recent op-ed how the rise in climate litigation related to climate harm is causing industry instability:

"States with the largest volume of climate litigation against energy companies have the highest petroleum costs in the country. . . Large-scale energy projects require billions of dollars in upfront capital, long planning horizons and regulatory certainty. When companies face the prospect of massive, retroactive liability and overall uncertainty, investment capital is diverted away from new infrastructure and toward legal reserves, higher borrowing costs and risk mitigation.”

In more than 35 active cases, states and municipalities are suing oil and gas outfits for “climate harm.”

It's company time!
In May 2011, Energy Transfer and Regency Energy completed the acquisition of midstream assets from Louis Dreyfus Highbridge Energy LLC for roughly $2 billion. This deal significantly expanded Energy Transfer's natural gas liquids (NGLs) business and spurred the creation of the Lone Star NGL joint venture.
