Reality: Properly crafted log homes are incredibly durable and often perform better in harsh climates thanks to their solid-mass construction.

The Swedish Cope log design (shown in the photo) is known for its exceptional strength because each log is carefully hand-scribed to fit perfectly over the one below it, creating a tight, interlocking joint along the full length of the log.
