Finally crossed the finish line on the latest septic project. It started with deleting the pool. The new leaching field overlapped the shallow end. All the plumbing inside the house was re routed to exit the back of the house to meet up with the new septic tank. The front of the house was prepped for a new walkway. The porch and shed will be getting additions so we installed precast footings. The sump pump was routed 100’ into the woods at the edge of the property. Lastly we transplanted a rose of Sharon and a lilac that were in the old pool area. will be hydro seeding this one tomorrow.

I’ve been slowly setting this new 550 switch n go to replace my old 350 dump. It’s been a slow process, but I am really excited to get it built. It’s a 9’ switch n go hoist so it’s basically the same wheelbase as a mason dump. I’ve custom fit a crossmember less stainless mason dump to fit on the hoist.

Well we finally made it back to the cape to backfill this garage. I totally failed at taking pictures but it was something I’ve never done before. Because of the proximity to the ocean and the elevation the entire garage is supported by massive columns and the walls are essentially sacrificial to blow open in a flood. The floor is a haunched floating slab where it’s thick around the edges and skinny in the middle. Everyone throws that term around like it’s nbd but it was a serious pain in the as with 6 giant concrete columns in the way that needed 5’ of material brought in and compacted. Thought the 160 with the rotator and compactor made short work of it I felt like I was playing operation dodging columns and power lines for the past two days.
