Please join us in welcoming Van Lawm Ceu, to the Stoeppelwerth & Associates family as a CAD Technician in our Builder Services department!

Van earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Purdue University and brings previous experience as a Transportation Engineer, where he supported transportation planning and design projects, site assessments, project feasibility, and safety analysis. He plans to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam later this year and ultimately hopes to obtain his Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Outside of work, Van is actively involved in his church as a youth leader and is passionate about serving and supporting the Burmese community.

We’re excited to have Van on our team and look forward to the experience and perspective he will bring to Builder Services.

Volunteer Day with Coburn Place 🌟

Our Engagement Team is giving back! On Thursday, August 13th our team volunteered with Coburn Place, an inspiring organization providing compassionate care and safe housing for domestic violence survivors and their children in Greater Indianapolis. It was very hands-on by cleaning and preparing an apartment for a local family preparing to move into safe housing.

We’re honored to support Coburn Place in their mission to empower survivors and rebuild lives. 💙

★ Licensed Land Surveyor — Indiana
Nick Stevens • Dual Licensure — Land Surveyor & Professional Engineer! 👏
We are excited to announce that Nick Stevens has completed the final step to becoming a Licensed Land Surveyor in the State of Indiana by successfully passing the Indiana State specific exam, the final test required for licensure.
This is a culmination of 6 years of effort on his part to gain both the education and experience required to qualify to be a Licensed Land Surveyor and a Licensed
Professional Engineer. Nick is now only the second dual licensed individual at Stoeppelwerth & Associates, Inc. alongside Dave Stoeppelwerth. Nick has worked tirelessly to earn these honors and should be quite proud of his accomplishment.

We are excited to share that Rich Kerlin will be joining Stoeppelwerth & Associates on Monday, July 20, as a Senior CAD Designer.

Rich brings more than 45 years of experience in civil design and CAD leadership, with an extensive background in land development, infrastructure, and engineering design. Throughout his career, he has led complex design projects, developed CAD standards, mentored technical staff, and supported engineering teams across a wide range of residential, commercial, and municipal projects.

Please join us in welcoming Rich to the team as he begins this next chapter with Stoeppelwerth. We look look forward to the knowledge and experience he will bring to our organization.

We are excited to share that Michael McCorkle has joined Stoeppelwerth & Associates as a CAD Technician, in the construction department.

Michael brings several years of AutoCAD experience across civil engineering, utilities, and construction industries. He has worked alongside engineers and project managers to develop roadway plan sets, construction documents, and site designs.

Michael is also currently working toward his CAD professional certification.
We are excited to have him join the Stoeppelwerth team and look forward to the knowledge and experience he brings to our organization.

Please join us in celebrating a truly historic achievement! Brian M. Brown, PE, CFM, is marking 25 years of continuous Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification.

At the recent ASFPM 50th Anniversary Conference, Brian was recognized as one of only 45 Certified Floodplain Managers nationwide to reach this monumental 25-year mark. As CFM #121, Brian is part of the very first group of professionals ever to achieve this longevity in the credential's history.
Earning and maintaining a CFM requires a deep, continuous commitment to navigating evolving regulations, mapping standards, and engineering practices. Since 2001, Brian has brought this specialized expertise to our team.

Rachel Keesling wasn't born in the Hoosier state, the St. Louis native quickly made Indiana her home. 🏡 Following her interest in architecture and design, she earned her bachelor's degree in urban planning and development from Ball State University. 🎓 Her first job was with the City of Carmel.

Over nearly 20 years in Carmel, Rachel held various roles within the Department of Community Services' Planning and Zoning Division. 🗺️ She became well known for her meticulous design reviews as she guided petitioners through the Plan Commission approval process for major commercial and mixed-use developments. 🏢 For Rachel, watching her work directly shape the built environment of Carmel was especially rewarding. ✨

Now, she has made her first major career move. We have been so delighted to have her as a part of the Stoeppelwerth & Associates family! 🎉 She brings such incredible talent to our Planning and Project Development team and we are excited for her to have the opportunity to positively impact other communities throughout Indiana.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys reading, 📚 crafting, 🎨 traveling, ✈️ and spending time with her family and friends. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 She is very active in her community, volunteering at her parish, St. Thomas Aquinas, and leading her daughter's 5th-grade Girl Scout troop.
