Bottom paint progress on Transatlantic record-breaker Raven at Derecktor Fort Pierce.

A slick bottom means less drag, more speed, and peak performance. Keeping her ready for whatever comes next.

Not every port can accommodate a vessel like this. The world’s largest single-masted sailing yacht, measuring 77.6 meters, made Fort Pierce a stop on her route. Her carbon fiber mast stands 88.3 meters tall. Direct ocean access and a deep-water inlet make it simple for world-class yachts to come and go.

It’s been an absolute pleasure working on M/Y Casual Water II. Our team replaced her sea chest, almost 20 valves, and completed a bottom paint, finishing the full scope in three weeks, half the time originally planned. We’re all pleased to see her back in the water, though we will miss this great crew.

Our team handled every step of this sea chest replacement — fabricating the jig, the weld work, and installation, all done in house. Here’s a snippet of what that looked like.

On the cover of this year’s Triton Refit Issue: M/Y Double Haven, structurally renewed. The previous stabilizers and supporting structure were removed, a new engineered system was fabricated to spec, and coordination with Quantum and BMH ensured full install alignment.

All structural welding was completed ahead of the mechanical installation, precision work executed cleanly from teardown to final fit.

This year’s Plywood Regatta was a good one. We had the pleasure of mentoring two middle school teams, New River Middle School and Coral Springs Middle School, and they delivered in a big way, taking 1st and 2nd place in their division. New River also finished 3rd overall, and for Coral Springs, this was their very first regatta. What a debut! We couldn’t be prouder of both teams.

A huge thank you to the MIASF for organizing and hosting this incredible event year after year, and to our co-sponsors for coming together to make it all happen ⚓️
