At Coop’s new logistics center in Schafisheim, Switzerland, ABB technology helps power one of the most advanced systems in Europe. Serving Switzerland’s largest bakery and frozen‑goods distribution hub, the site relies on high‑efficiency and to keep cooling stable, efficient and reliable around the clock.
By precisely controlling performance, the system reduces energy use while maintaining consistent cooling across production and storage. Since commissioning, the solution has helped reduce CO₂ emissions by more than 10,000 tonnes per year - a strong example of how efficient motor and drive technology can deliver real sustainability impact in large-scale food operations.
