Carol Donahey, Human Resources Manager, and Shelly Winters, Marketing/Customer Service, recently attended an early screening of “Made Right Here”, a short documentary by Zach Glabman.

“Made Right Here” highlights how manufacturers, educators, and community leaders are addressing skilled labor shortages and expanding career opportunities in Northwestern Pennsylvania, with initiatives like METAL for America helping prepare the next generation of manufacturing professionals.

We’re committed to supporting local talent and strengthening our workforce. Contact [email protected] to explore opportunities at FPC.

We look forward to the documentary's premiere later this year!

Our team and community came together to support a benefit dinner for Ryan Firster, a valued member of our Wax Department for 31 years, as he faces recent health challenges.

A special thank-you to the Cooperstown Volunteer Fire Department Station 5, where Ryan has been a volunteer firefighter for 25 years, and to the Oakland Twp. Volunteer Fire Department - Station 13, Venango County, Reno Volunteer Fire Department, and Rouseville Vol. Fire Department for coming together to organize and host this event at the Rouseville Volunteer Fire Dept Community Center

Our team, along with Wall Colmonoy contributed gift baskets to the raffle, where all proceeds go directly to Ryan and his family.

We are grateful to everyone who made this event possible and showed their support for Ryan and his family, and we continue to send them our best wishes in the days ahead!

For us, workforce development means investing in our people, building skills for the future and creating opportunities for local talent to build rewarding manufacturing careers right here in Northwest Pennsylvania.

We recently welcomed Rachel Mauer, President, and Lisa Conturo, Director, of the GACC Pittsburgh Chapter to our Franklin, Pennsylvania facility.

During the visit, Rachel and Lisa toured our wax-to-metal investment casting process, and our team learned more about the new Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program being developed by GACC and The Education & Training Center at Pitt-Titusville.

We’re exploring opportunities for members of our maintenance team to participate in the three-year program, which combines classroom learning with hands-on training in robotics and automation. We’re also looking at future apprenticeships in CAD/CAM technical design and sales engineering.

Thank you to Rachel, Lisa, GACC Pittsburgh and Pitt–Titusville for the visit and for helping build a stronger manufacturing talent pipeline in Northwest Pennsylvania.

Another great Applefest® in the books! 🍎

We were excited to sponsor one of our community’s favorite traditions. This festival brought beautiful weather, fantastic food, arts & crafts vendors, and a car show that seemed to stretch for miles.

We are lucky that our team can enjoy one of the region’s best events right here in our Franklin community!

What could the future of investment casting look like with robotics, automation and AI?

Team members Tim Reed, Technical Manager; Jon Dickinson, Finishing Room Supervisor; and Nate Elder, Technical Specialist recently attended Pittsburgh Robotics & AI Discovery Day 2026, hosted by the Pittsburgh Robotics Network.

With 250+ exhibitors, the event gave a first-hand look at emerging technologies and their potential applications.

Our team explored opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, improve processes, and better utilize existing equipment to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.

Thank you to the Pittsburgh Robotics Network for bringing Pennsylvania’s robotics and advanced manufacturing community together.
