Congratulations to the winners of the Employee Appreciation Raffle!

At Utility Partners of America, the company's strength comes directly from the people who show up for it every day. Throughout June, employees earned a raffle entry each week by staying engaged in safety and showing up consistently for their teams. The drawing took place on July 2nd, giving us the chance to recognize those who represent the company with professionalism and dedication.

Congratulations to everyone selected, and thank you to every employee for the work you bring here each day. Your commitment to safety and the communities we serve is what continues to energize this team.

This Fourth of July marks 250 years of American independence, a milestone worth pausing on.

UPA's work keeps essential infrastructure running for the communities that depend on it, and that work is done by people who show up every day with skill and care.

On a day that honors what this country has built, we are proud to be part of building what comes next.

UPA is proud to award Donnell Scott this month's Excellence Coin.

Donnell has been with UPA for three years as a gas technician. His attitude and work ethic set a standard that those around him notice, including how he shows up for safety on every job.

That reputation recently earned him a new role as a primary gas technician on the Specialized Response Team, a recognition of his technical ability and the confidence his supervisors have in his judgment.

Outside of work, Donnell is a dedicated father, and that same commitment carries into everything he does on the job.

Donnell is a strong example of One UPA One Team, and we're looking forward to what he builds next with this team.

Today, UPA pauses to honor Juneteenth, a day we recognize with gratitude and intention for what it represents in American history. That recognition is a commitment carried forward in how we work, how we develop, and the culture we continue to build together.

From the desk of our Senior Director of Human Resources, Angela Henson

This week, our HR and Recruiting team stepped away from the day-to-day to spend time together outside the office.

For one evening, the usual stack of resumes and interview schedules gave way to dinner and conversation, with a few team activities mixed in.

As HR and Recruiting professionals, we spend our days focused on building strong teams across our organization. It's just as important that we invest in our own team. How well we communicate and trust each other directly impacts how we support the employees and candidates who count on us every day.

I'm grateful to work alongside people who genuinely enjoy each other's company. Nights like this are where One UPA, One Team shows up, which carries into the way we work together day to day.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the evening a good one. Looking forward to more of this as the team keeps growing closer and continues making UPA a strong place to work.

This summer, UPA welcomes two engineering students joining us for hands-on experience in project management.

Garrett Gregory is an Industrial Engineering student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Class of 2028. Johan Murillo is a Civil Engineering student at Clemson University, Class of 2027.

Both are spending June at our Operations Office in Greer, SC, learning the principles of project management. They can be seen performing 360 vehicle inspections, working through concepts on the whiteboard, and building PowerPoint presentations for their end-of-summer projects.

In July, they'll each head into the field! Johan to National Grid in Leominster, MA, and Garrett to his hometown utility, Memphis Light, Gas & Water (MLGW).

We're glad to have them on the team this summer. Welcome, Garrett and Johan, and a big thank you to Joe and the team for being great mentors.
