This summer, UPA welcomes two engineering students joining us for hands-on experience in project management.

Garrett Gregory is an Industrial Engineering student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Class of 2028. Johan Murillo is a Civil Engineering student at Clemson University, Class of 2027.

Both are spending June at our Operations Office in Greer, SC, learning the principles of project management. They can be seen performing 360 vehicle inspections, working through concepts on the whiteboard, and building PowerPoint presentations for their end-of-summer projects.

In July, they'll each head into the field! Johan to National Grid in Leominster, MA, and Garrett to his hometown utility, Memphis Light, Gas & Water (MLGW).

We're glad to have them on the team this summer. Welcome, Garrett and Johan, and a big thank you to Joe and the team for being great mentors.

Summer is just getting started, and so is the celebrating!

This month, we are proud to recognize the anniversaries of some of our most dedicated team members, each one a reflection of the commitment and character that define One UPA, One Team.

Congratulations to Allison, Billy, and Susan on 10 years with Utility Partners of America. A decade is a genuine milestone, one that reflects loyalty, growth, and the kind of steady contribution that makes a team stronger year after year. We are deeply grateful for everything each of them brings to UPA.

Congratulations to Tromayne on five years of showing up, contributing, and growing with this team. We are proud to have you with us!

A special Memorial Day message from our President, Todd Stone.

While this weekend often marks the start of summer for most, for those of us in the veteran community, it is a day of quiet reflection. It’s a day to remember that ‘service’ isn't just a word, it’s a lived commitment, past and present, that for some required the ultimate sacrifice.

We are proud to recognize Construction Safety Week 2026. The national theme this year is “All In Together”.

At UPA, that theme resonates because it reflects how we operate. Our foundation is One UPA – One Team, and out of that foundation, safety is our core value. When we operate as one team, we look out for each other, and we bring everyone home safely.

This week, we recognize our field teams, supervisors, and safety leads. Thank you for showing up with consistency and a commitment to safety.

This week Utility Partners of America gathered with National Grid in Saratoga Springs, NY to celebrate the five year anniversary of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) project and 2 million meters deployed throughout National Grid’s NY and MA service territories.

Afterward, UPA’s PM Ashli joined National Grid for a day of community service at Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga in Saratoga Springs, NY, a nonprofit that gives retired racehorses a second career while supporting mental health and emotional wellness through therapeutic programming.

The crew spent the day rolling up their sleeves, cleaning paddocks, painting stables, and making sure this special place is ready to keep doing its important work.
