Deante brings over 10 years of construction experience to the team and has been serving as an Operator with GroundBreakers for just over a year. In that time, he’s proven himself to be a dependable, skilled professional who shows up ready to get the job done right.

Outside of work, Deante is a proud father to his son, Khaza, and daughter, Alexis. When he’s not on the job, you’ll likely find him riding his Harley, fishing, or spending quality time with family and friends — making the most of every moment off the clock.

This week, we’re proud to recognize Micah Ream, one of our dedicated Combo Truck Operators here at GroundBreakers.

With around 10 years of experience in construction and 3 years as an Operator with GroundBreakers, Micah brings a strong work ethic, skill and reliability to every project he’s a part of. His commitment to getting the job done right plays a key role in keep our operations moving safely and efficiently.

Outside of work, Micah enjoys spending time with his family—his wife Chelsea and their daughter Charlotte. When he gets a rare moment of free time, you can usually find him out on the golf course enjoying a well-earned break.

We’re excited to announce that Edward “Dean” Hinshaw has joined GroundBreakers, LLC as a Locating Technician in the Cincinnati, OH market!

Dean brings over 27 years of locating experience, adding tremendous knowledge and expertise to our growing team. His dedication to the field and commitment to excellence make him a great fit for the GroundBreakers family.

Outside of work, Dean enjoys spending time doing what he loves most—singing with his church, playing golf, and hunting. He’s also looking forward to a special milestone this year as his son, Tanner, prepares to get married.

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Mike Edwards 🌟

At GroundBreakers, we take pride in the people who make our company what it is—and today, we’re excited to recognize Mike Edwards, our Ohio Field Supervisor, as part of our Employee Spotlight Series.

Mike brings over 12 years of experience in construction to the team and is approaching his 1-year anniversary with GroundBreakers. In that time, he has made a tremendous impact through his leadership, dedication, and teamwork in the field.

When asked about his experience with GroundBreakers, Mike shared:
"The company feels like a family. I truly enjoy coming to work every day. I've worked at other places before and never felt excited to go to work like I do here. I enjoy working alongside the operators we have, and working side by side with a great leader like Curtis makes the days go seamlessly."

Outside of work, Mike’s passion for leadership continues at home and in the community. He enjoys coaching his sons’ football team and spending time hunting with his boys. Mike and his wife, Andi, are proud parents to **four sons—Brody, Camden, Crew, and Hendrix—**who certainly keep life busy and full of energy.

🎉 GroundBreakers Named to the 2026 IBJ Fast 25 List 🎉

We’re proud to share that GroundBreakers has been recognized on the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Fast 25 list, honoring the fastest-growing privately held companies in Central Indiana for 2026.

We came in at #24, with an impressive 82.21% revenue growth over the past two years—a milestone made possible by the dedication and hard work of our entire team.

Representing GroundBreakers at the awards event was Vice President Doug Taylor, joined by Larry Oliver, Curtis Gilbert, and Adam Amick. It was an honor to celebrate alongside so many exceptional organizations driving growth across our region.

✨ Safety doesn’t start when equipment hits the ground — it starts with the locate. ✨

That’s why we’re shining a spotlight on Locator Safety & Appreciation Week, happening April 20–24, 2026.

Every accurate mark, every careful read of underground conditions, and every commitment to doing it right helps prevent strikes, delays, and disruptions that affect crews and whole communities. Utility locators operate at the intersection of precision and protection — often unseen, but absolutely essential.

We believe appreciation shouldn’t be limited to one week. By calling attention to this observance early, we’re recognizing the everyday impact utility locators make long before work begins and long after projects are completed.

Over the coming months, we’ll be highlighting:

Scott brings 15 years of locating experience to our team and has been with GroundBreakers for just under a year. His dedication to accuracy, safety, and protecting underground infrastructure plays a critical role in keeping jobsites safe and projects moving forward.

Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Julie, and their son, Luke. When he’s not with family, you’ll likely find him off-roading and exploring trails in his Jeep Rubicon.
