If you visit John’s home church, Aldersgate Methodist Church, you will see this piece framed and hanging on the wall.

This beautiful painting traces the journey of a well-loved church from its origins as Hays Avenue Methodist Church in 1894 to its life as Aldersgate United Methodist Church in 1994…a full century of stewardship.

What you see here is what happens when a building is loved, respected, and preserved: generation after generation is able to gather within its walls, foster the legacy, and honor the ones that came before.

This is the kind of dedication to historic preservation that drives the work of the John H. Allen Company.
