The right screw for the right job. Swapping out some screws on a resurface job this week.

Not all screws are created equal. Installing joist hangers and structural connectors, we use genuine Simpson Strong Tie connector screws because they are specifically engineered and approved for these applications.

Swapping in ordinary, Deck screws may seem harmless, but they’re not designed to carry structural loads and can compromise the connection overtime. 

It’s the small details that make the deck stronger, safer, and built to last.

Meet the owner behind Stronghold Deck & Design.

I’m Trever Steinke, a husband, father, entrepreneur, and someone who has spent years in the building materials and construction industry learning what it takes to build things the right way.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside contractors, builders, and homeowners across southern Wisconsin, helping bring projects to life through design, materials, and problem-solving. Through that experience, I developed a strong understanding of what makes a project successful, not just in the build itself, but in communication, trust, and the overall customer experience.

That experience is what led me to launch Stronghold Deck & Design.

Stronghold was built with one goal in mind, to create a better deck-building experience for homeowners through transparency, quality craftsmanship, and a process people can feel confident in from start to finish.

This is more than just another business to me. It is something I’m building for my family, my future, and the communities I’m proud to serve.

I’m excited for what’s ahead and grateful for everyone supporting Stronghold as we continue to grow.
