❤️🤖 A Little Robotic Mower Education from Show-Me Mowers!
Yesterday, one of our robotic mowers went missing, and thanks to its GPS tracking, we were able to locate it with remarkable accuracy!
First, we want to sincerely thank the folks who found our mower and were trying to protect it and help get it back home. We truly appreciate their good intentions!
We also owe them a bit of an apology. We probably weren't nearly as appreciative as we should have been when we arrived, and we'd like to explain why.
When one of these expensive machines goes missing and GPS tracking shows it has traveled miles from where it belongs, we have to consider the possibility of theft. After all, these little guys don't travel miles down the road by themselves! So, we tend to approach these situations with that concern in mind. We understand that someone picking one up may simply be trying to help, and we genuinely appreciate those good intentions.
We thought this would be a great opportunity to share a little robotic mower education with our Jefferson City neighbors!
🤖 If you find a robotic mower along the road, please move it safely onto the nearest lawn if necessary, but don't take it home or move it far from where you found it. Its owner may already be tracking it!
📍 These mowers are traceable! Many have GPS tracking and theft protection. We were able to track ours to within inches of its location!
📞 Call Show-Me Mowers at 573-230-1745! We know where most of the robotic mowers in the Jefferson City area are operating and can often help reunite them with their owners.
🔒 For anyone with less-than-honorable intentions, many of these mowers are electronically locked to their owners. Without the proper authorization, you've essentially acquired a very expensive ROCK!
😂 And because these machines cost thousands of dollars, stealing one can be a felony in Missouri. When a mower disappears, we take it seriously and may involve law enforcement.
🌱 And speaking of our wandering mower…
We're currently testing its hill-climbing capabilities on the hills near the American Legion in Jefferson City!
It's handling some of those hills beautifully, while other areas are proving a little more challenging.
That's exactly why we do these demonstrations! We're learning what these machines can and cannot handle in real-world conditions so we can make the best recommendations to our customers.
If you're in the area, keep an eye out for our little mower working on those hills.
Feel free to stop and watch it in action!
Just please don't take it home! 😂🤖
Most importantly, we genuinely appreciate our neighbors looking out for these machines. We know most people are simply trying to do the right thing, and we are grateful for that.
And to the folks who found ours yesterday, thank you again! We appreciate you looking out for it, and we're sorry if our initial reaction didn't reflect that appreciation. ❤️
