The Mighty River Art Studio Tour is a free, self-guided tour taking place on September
12-13 in the Greater La Crosse Area. Art studios open their doors to welcome guests to
see “how the work gets made” in the studio where it happens. It’s a great opportunity to
meet the artists, and talk about the work and the process. This year we have 18 artists
at 16 studios!
The tour also showcases local galleries, so visitors know where to see the work of our
artists year round.
Visitors can pick up a map in advance at a participating gallery, or download a copy
from our website. From there, the adventure begins! Plan your route and enjoy a scenic
drive from studio to studio.

Studio Tour Artist Spotlight •STOP #10

Billie is a metalsmith creating handmade jewelry in sterling silver, copper, and brass, often featuring natural stones and earthy, one•of•a•kind designs.

She also teaches beginner metalsmith workshops at her in-home studio. Participants can learn the basics of traditional metalsmithing while creating their own sterling silver ring or pendant.

Such a fun couple of workshop days lately!

One sweet couple came in and made a ring and pendant. He made her the prettiest labradorite pendant. 🥹

Then three friends came in for a ring making day, including that amazing statement ring made with a stone she brought from home. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
