36 WINDOWS. 15 OPENINGS. ONE SERIOUS UPGRADE. 🏠

This project was a full new-construction Pella window replacement, taking the windows all the way back to the original framing. Once we opened things up, we found the original windows weren’t properly waterproofed, which meant some structural repairs were needed before installing the new windows the right way.

We rebuilt where needed, properly waterproofed the openings, installed new Pella windows, and finished everything off with new interior trim work.

The property investor is happy as a clam, and that’s what we like to hear! 😎

🌪️ FROM STORM DAMAGE TO A SERIOUS UPGRADE

This Westby home took a hit in the recent storm, damaging the existing GAF roof. We tore it off and upgraded this homeowner to a Malarkey Windsor Class 4 Designer Shingle with open metal valleys.

Why Malarkey Windsor?

• Class 4 impact rated for superior hail resistance
• Rubberized asphalt technology for added strength and flexibility
• Better granule retention for long-term durability
• Premium designer appearance that gives the home a higher-end look

Some bathroom remodels are about updating a space.

Some are about changing how a family gets to use their home.

This bathroom had been used in a way no parent should have to settle for. The kids had never really had a bathtub to use, so a tote had become the solution for bath time.

We were honored to completely gut this bathroom and give this family a space that works for them.

From the studs out, we installed:

• New sheetrock
• New Millwork
• Updated electrical
• New bathroom exhaust fan
• New lighting
• Amish-built custom cabinetry
• Sentrel bath system
• New flooring
• Complete finish work throughout

The result is more than a beautiful new bathroom. It’s a safe, functional, comfortable space where this family can make everyday memories together.

Please join us in welcoming Jordan Matchey to the Firm Foundation Construction team as our Production Specialist.

Jordan is the wizard behind the schedule, coordinating multiple projects at any given time and helping keep everything moving from one stage to the next. Construction schedules are anything but easy to predict. Between the challenges that come with each individual project and our dependence on the weather, keeping everything on track takes constant communication, problem-solving, and flexibility.

Jordan has also quickly proven his technology skills and his sense of urgency when it comes to finding ways to make our operations more efficient. We're excited to have someone on the team who is always looking for a better way to get things done.

A Safer, More Comfortable Bathroom for Mom ❤️

This project was all about making a bathroom safer, easier, and more comfortable for a homeowner’s mom as she prepares to move in with them.

We transformed the space with:

• A new Sentrel PVC bath system with a low-threshold shower, making it much easier to bathe without having to step over a traditional tub
• New flooring throughout the bathroom
• A beautiful Amish-built custom vanity topped with quartz
• A fresh, clean look designed around both comfort and functionality

We love projects like this because remodeling isn't always just about making a space look better. Sometimes it's about making a home work better for the people you love. ❤️

Before & After: A Siding Transformation in La Crosse, Wisconsin ✨

This La Crosse home was ready for a fresh start, and new siding delivered it. We swapped the tired cream exterior for a deep, rich green that gives the whole house warmth and character. That red arched door? It finally pops like it was always meant to be the centerpiece.

Since we were already up there, we threw in new white window wraps too. That crisp trim framing every window is the detail that pulls it all together.

Same great bones. A whole new first impression.

A little bit of everything at the office today 🐾🔧🏠

Some days in this business are all about the unexpected, and today was one of them.

We kicked things off the way contractors do: fixing a flat tire on the dump trailer before the real work could even start. Not glamorous, but that's the job. You handle what's in front of you and keep moving.

Then we got a visit from Max, our shingle rep with Malarkey Roofing Products, who stopped by for a refresher on why Malarkey shingles are some of the best on the market. Rubberized polymer technology, better impact resistance, and shingles that actually help clean the air. It's the kind of product knowledge that makes a difference when we're standing on your roof.

And the most important visitor of the day? Stella. Andrew's golden retriever came in for a quick photo shoot in front of the trailer, then promptly clocked out for a post-meeting nap. Honestly, she might have the best job at FFC.

Flat tires, good products, and a golden retriever. Just another day building something we're proud of.
