Tariff Therapy Tip 5 of 9: Ask vendors to push down their COGs or margin (short term).

A strong vendor partner will often be willing to temporarily reduce margin in the short term in exchange for a solid order or long term program, especially in today’s economic climate. This can help offset tariff pressure while keeping your program moving forward.

If a vendor is unwilling to have that conversation, it may be a signal to re-evaluate the partnership. Given the current tariff environment, there are alternative suppliers who are hungry for business and willing to be flexible.

Tariffs change. Partnerships should adapt with them.
