Our Watertown Division recently completed the construction of a new, state-of-the-art terminal at the Watertown International Airport.

The terminal spans 25,000 SF and features:
◾ A spacious lobby
◾ Improved ticketing areas
◾ New security checkpoints
◾ A waiting room
◾ Motorized baggage system
◾ A jet bridge capable of servicing two planes at once

B&C is also building a connecting structure which will link the existing terminal with the new. The connector has been closed in with roofing, and siding and windows are expected to be installed in the coming weeks.

The revitalization of the North Country airport was supported by a $28 million award from Governor Hochul’s Upstate Airport Economic Development and Revitalization Competition. The upgraded facility aims to boost tourism, foster increased economic activity, and create a seamless travel experience for residents and visitors.

Earlier this week, Bette & Cring broke ground at the McKownville Fire Department’s new firehouse on Western Ave.

McKownville station, an all-volunteer fire department, answers between 250-275 calls each year. Its existing 56-year-old facility was cramped and lacked proper storage.

A new two-story fire house is being constructed and will feature four apparatus bays, a room for training, a conference room, administrative offices, wet rooms, and more.

At the groundbreaking, Jim White, Board of Commissioners Chair, thanked his fellow volunteer firefighters for their service and expressed enthusiasm for the new facility: “I want to thank our membership… they’re all volunteers. They do this with a sense of pride, and we’re all proud to do that duty for the community. I’m looking forward to the next generation to be proud of this building. With a new attractive building, hopefully [we can] keep attracting new members.”

Demolition of the existing facility is complete; foundations of the new structure are ongoing.

Construction of the Capital District Psychiatric Center’s parking garage is making strides.

Demolition of the existing 43,000 SF garage and two pedestrian bridges was completed in September.

Footings & backfill are ongoing. Er****on of the precast concrete structure is expected to begin in December.

B&C happily welcomes Jake LaMountain to the Latham Buildings Division!

Jake has over 15 years of experience with residential and commercial construction, as well as consulting. Having spent time in the field as a superintendent and in the office as a project manager, he has overseen the construction of various large-scale housing and hospitality projects. Jake received a bachelor’s degree in Wind Energy Technology from Redstone College and served as a Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy from 2007-2012.

As B&C’s newest project manager, Jake will support our affordable housing project, Springs West Apartments.

In his free time, Jake enjoys practicing jujitsu, hiking, mountain biking, as well as spending time with his young children.

Construction of Lake George CSD's transportation facility continues.

The 15,000 SF bus garage, which will accommodate electric buses, will feature:
◾ 15 bays
◾ EV charging shelter
◾ Training room for bus drivers & technicians
◾ Locker room
◾ Hydraulic lift
◾ Bays for bus repair & washing

Structural steel is being set, CMU is being installed, and MEP rough-ins are ongoing.

The garage is expected to be completed in the spring of 2026.

Job sites don’t get more beautiful than this. During the summer, the Bridge Division poured the southwest bound lanes of Bridge Street over the Delaware River (AKA the Callicoon Bridge).

Over the course of three weeks, 650 CY of concrete was poured across all seven bridge spans, including the approach slabs, link slabs, and modular joints.

B&C is performing a vast deck replacement, along with structural steel and concrete repairs, to the Callicoon Bridge. The seven span structure crosses the state border between NY & PA; one half of the bridge resides in Damascus Township, PA and the latter is in Delaware, NY.

B&C recently completed the renovation of the Flanigan Square Loft Apartments in Downtown Troy.

The adaptive-reuse project converted a historic manufacturing building (totaling 68,000 SF) into 72 apartment units, commercial space, and a daycare. Hints of the building's 20th century manufacturing features were preserved, including exposed wooden beams, columns, and brick.

Apartments feature open-concept layouts, stainless steel appliances, in-unit washer and dryers, community spaces, and views of the Hudson River.
