Happy National Doughnut day to our crews in the field and everyone helping build great projects.

Our interns don't spend the summer sitting behind a desk.

This week, they got a firsthand look at what construction management is really all about. They toured two of our Omaha jobsites, met with project teams, saw progress in the field, and learned how decisions made in the office come to life on a project.

They also joined one of our estimators at a pre-bid meeting to see what happens before a project is ever awarded. From asking questions and reviewing plans to understanding project requirements, they got a behind-the-scenes look at the work that sets a project up for success.

At Kingery, we believe the best way to learn is by being part of the process. From pre-bid to punch list, our interns get real-world experience every step of the way.

We may help sponsor the tournament, but let's be honest... we're really there to keep the golfers hydrated.

Another year, another great day at the Nebraska Wesleyan University Golf Tournament. We had a blast serving drinks, sharing laughs, and enjoying a day at one of Lincoln's best venues, Hillcrest Country Club.

A little lightning delay tried to interrupt the fun, but it turns out golfers are pretty good at finding ways to stay entertained while waiting for the all-clear.

We're always proud to support Nebraska Wesleyan and this great event.

Same tournament. Same shenanigans. See you next year!

1976 Kingery ad found in a local newspaper.

Pretty cool seeing how many of these buildings are still part of Lincoln today. Some things are just built right.

Before anything gets built, the work begins.

Budgets are tested. Schedules are challenged. Details are worked through.

Strong projects don’t start in the field - they start with the right plan.

Creating schools is an exciting adventure that goes beyond just bricks and mortar.

It takes smart planning, strong teamwork, and a clear focus on what students and staff need. Safety stays front and center every step of the way so everyone can learn and work with confidence.

Not your typical renovation.

Whitcomb Lee Conservatory, known as “The Con,” has been part of Doane University campus since the early 1900s. A five sided Prairie School building that once sat untouched for decades, full of history and a few stories of its own.

When it came time to bring it back to life, the challenge was clear. Restore the structure, preserve its character, and modernize it for today’s use.

That meant major structural repairs, new systems, and even adding a basement beneath the existing building, all while keeping the original exterior intact.

Today, it’s home to a nationally recognized theatre program and a space that continues to serve the campus in a whole new way.

This is where it started.
No shortcuts. Just people who knew how to build.

Back when tools were simpler, this is what building looked like—grit, craftsmanship, and pride in doing it right.

That same mindset still drives us.

From early millwork shops to today’s job sites, the goal hasn’t changed:
build it right, take care of people, and leave something that lasts.

Different tools. Same standard.

More than 1,000,000 hours worked safely.

That number is more than a milestone. It represents the people behind it. Our crews, project teams, trade partners, and the families counting on them to come home every night.

After reviewing company records, Kingery discovered our team has officially surpassed 1 million work hours without a lost time incident. That does not happen by chance. It takes teamwork, communication, accountability, and people looking out for one another every single day.

Safety is not just something we talk about. It is built into how we work.

We are proud of the milestone, but even prouder of what it stands for. Everyone goes home.

Safety isn’t just paperwork and protocols.

It’s about making sure everybody gets home at the end of the day.

Here’s why our superintendents work safe.
