Shared Science To build on children’s STEM experiences through constructive & creative programs.

Shared Science was granted nonprofit status in 2009, for the purpose of creating and delivering early engineering and science learning opportunities to school-aged children (K-12) in the City of Long Beach. As a nonprofit, we bring together funding and equipment resources, identify gifted engineers and instructors, tailor the best curriculum available, and then bundle it all together to benefit a

nd captivate the imaginations of young students. Shared Science believes every child should have the opportunity to explore the sciences, especially computer sciences and engineering, early in their academic careers. When kids have these experiences in elementary school, there is a much greater chance that they will pursue these studies in higher education, and as careers. We want to impact the numbers of kids entering into Engineering, Computer Technology and Information Technology as the skilled workers of tomorrow!

🤖 That’s a wrap on R.E.A.D.Y.!
This Summer, our R.E.A.D.Y. (Robotics Exploration And Development for Youth) students have been building, coding, designing, testing, and problem-solving their way through hands-on robotics challenges!
As part of Measure US, this program gave local middle and high school students the opportunity to explore robotics, develop hands-on STEM skills, and experience what it’s like to work as a team to design and build. ⚙️💪
