Our corporate office and Technical Services Center in Moorhead know how to beat the heat! Last Wednesday's summer picnic went full tropical with a "Luau on the Lawn" theme, and the turnout did not disappoint. 🌴

Between inflatables from Games to Go, a "Talking Tikis" scavenger hunt, co****le, and a make-and-take bracelet craft, there was something for everyone. When the nearly 100 degree heat kicked in, Kona Ice of Fargo served shaved ice and smoothies to keep the team cool. And of course, BBQ from Spitfire Bar and Grill never disappoints! Last but not least, no picnic is complete without dessert: bars and cookies made with CRYSTAL SUGAR from Jen's Bakery.

Great food, warm weather, and time spent with the best people around. Mahalo to everyone who joined in the fun!

Around here, farming and family go hand-in-hand. No better example of that than grandpa holding his great-granddaughter, proud of the legacy that will continue to grow on for years to come.

Long before the first sugarbeets arrive, employees and growers across our cooperative are getting ready for the season ahead. From maintaining equipment to checking fields, every team plays an important role before harvest begins.

As August approaches, the real action in the fields is happening underground.

While the growth of their leaves begins to slow, the sugarbeet below the surface is still developing.
Our growers and agriculturists are closely monitoring the late-stage growth as talks of harvest start to stir.

It's also a great reminder that sometimes the most important part is what you can't see.

Congratulations to Volodymyr Bilan, Assistant Chemist at our , who officially became a U.S. citizen on Wednesday night!

The ceremony took place at Newman Outdoor Field during the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks Baseball New American Night. Dozens of Volod's colleagues, friends, and family came out to celebrate with him. Factory manager Aaron Bjerke said the crew had an "overwhelmingly good time."

A big thank you to Beverage Wholesalers, Inc. for donating game tickets and suite access so our team could be there to cheer him on.

Last week, 70 employees from across American Crystal Sugar gathered on the greens to raise some green for our local Veterans! 💚

Golfers teed up for our Crystal Clash golf outing in support of the Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN. They raised $2,550 to help send Veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials built in their honor.

Thank you to everyone who played and helped raise funds for our local Veterans.

When emergencies happen, our neighbors are the ones who answer the call. Our was proud to recently support these three well-deserving organizations through our Community Roots grant program.

🚒 Hendrum Fire and Rescue: Replacing outdated turnout gear and PPE.
🚑 Gary Cares: Purchasing a new emergency rescue vehicle.
🚒 Grandin-Gardner Fire: Replacing their ladder truck, which went out of service after a mechanical malfunction during a large elevator fire.

We're grateful for the chance to invest in the people who protect our local communities. Thank you to these great organizations for your service!

Our finance team traded part of their meeting agenda for work gloves this week 💪

Forty of our generous team members spent Tuesday volunteering at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Red River Valley. They repaired walls, organized the garage, deep cleaned indoor and outdoor spaces, prepped grab-and-go snacks, assembled pop tab houses, and installed a new safety barrier on their playground.

It was the largest volunteer group the House has ever hosted!

"Behind every freshly cleaned room, repaired wall, and stocked snack is a family who can spend less time worrying and more time being together," said Mikayla Young, Development Director.

Thank you to Ronald McDonald House for having us, and to our finance team for showing up ready to work.
