Out with the old, making way for the new.

Demolition is complete on this custom rebuild project, leaving only the existing foundation as the starting point for what's ahead.

While it may not look like much right now, this is where the excitement begins. In the months ahead, this site will be transformed into a beautifully crafted custom home designed specifically for its owners.

These are some of our favorite updates to share because they truly showcase the journey—from the original home, to a clean slate, to the finished product.

Next up: rebuilding.

A lot can happen in just several weeks.

When we first introduced this custom home, the site consisted of a freshly poured foundation and the beginning stages of an existing outbuilding remodel.

Today, the transformation is well underway.

The home's footprint has taken shape, exterior walls are framed, roof trusses are in place, and the vision for this beautiful custom residence is becoming easier to see with every passing day.

This project continues to bring together some outstanding craftsmanship and trusted trade partners, including:

• Real stone and flagstone by Groff Stoneworks
• Custom cabinetry by Milton Grove Woodworks
• Flooring, tile, quartz countertops, and backsplash by Indoor City
• Marvin windows and patio doors throughout
• A wrap-around flagstone porch and lanai featuring standing seam metal roofing

One of our favorite parts of the process is watching a set of plans become a home—and this project is moving along beautifully.

We’re excited to introduce one of Dombach Builders’ newest projects — a full 2,527 sq. ft. custom rebuild on the existing foundation that will completely transform this longtime home inside and out.

What began as an addition/remodel ultimately evolved into a complete rebuild, creating an entirely reimagined home featuring custom craftsmanship, updated finishes, and thoughtfully designed living spaces throughout. The project also includes a full exterior facelift of the existing detached garage to seamlessly match the new home design.

Highlights of the project include cathedral ceilings in the kitchen, custom built-ins and wood accents, a custom fireplace feature, upgraded exterior finishes, and a fully refreshed interior from top to bottom.

We’re proud to be partnering with an incredible team of local suppliers and craftsmen on this project:

• Simonton white double hung, casement windows, and patio doors installed throughout the home
• Alside premium vinyl siding and Tamko Titan XT 50-year shingles for a complete exterior upgrade
• Signature Stone providing and installing the exterior stone veneer on the home and detached garage, as well as the custom fireplace stone and hearth
• Hershey Doors supplying the homeowner-selected garage doors
• J.Z. Horning LLC providing and installing the kitchen cabinetry
• Milton Grove Woodworks crafting and installing the custom en-suite vanity, second-floor bath vanity, window seats with wood tops.
• Indoor City providing and installing the flush tile shower with bench, tile bath flooring, quartz countertops, tile kitchen backsplash, LVP flooring, and carpet selections throughout the home.

And just like that… this farmhouse’s next chapter is complete.

What began as a vision has now become a warm, light-filled space designed for everyday living while honoring the history of the home. The new addition opens up the farmhouse with soaring cathedral ceilings, expansive windows, and natural finishes that make the entire space feel connected to the countryside around it.

One of the most meaningful elements of this project is the reclaimed barn wood used throughout the interior. These boards came from the homeowners’ own barn, giving new life to materials that have been part of this property for generations. The character and story they bring into the home is something truly special.

Thoughtful design and carefully chosen finishes come together throughout the space, creating a home that feels timeless, welcoming, and perfectly at home alongside the original farmhouse.

Projects like this remind us how special it is to help preserve a home’s story while creating space for the next chapter of life inside it.

Taking Shape, One Detail at a Time 🛠️

This addition and remodel is coming together beautifully, and the progress on site is truly exciting to see. With framing and roofing well underway, the expanded footprint is clearly defined and the seamless connection between existing spaces and new construction is taking shape.

The former breezeway is transforming into a warm, welcoming entry and living area, while the rear addition is beginning to reveal the future heart of the home — a spacious great room with cathedral ceilings and a stunning stone veneer fireplace feature. A full front porch and a large covered back patio further enhance both functionality and curb appeal, creating inviting spaces to enjoy year-round.

Craftsmanship and collaboration are at the core of this project. ✨ All rough sawn pine beams, posts, mantels, and custom kitchen cabinetry are being provided and installed by Milton Grove Woodworks, adding warmth, character, and timeless detail throughout the home. Granite countertops, the kitchen backsplash, and LVP flooring throughout the remodeled and newly added living spaces are being provided and installed by Indoor City, helping tie every space together with durability and refined finishes.

With major structural elements now in place, the flow of the new kitchen and living areas is easy to envision. Each step brings us closer to a home that blends thoughtful design, quality materials, and everyday comfort.

Crafting Something Special — Progress Update

This addition has come a long way since our last update.

What began as framing and roofing has now transitioned into a space that feels thoughtfully connected to the original home. With exterior finishes in place, the addition is taking on its final form — blending seamlessly through coordinated siding, stonework, roofing, and trim details that honor the home’s existing character while elevating its overall presence.

Inside, the vision continues to take shape with cabinetry by Swartz Kitchens & Baths, flooring from Grove’s Flooring, and counter tops installed by Classic Granite & Marble. Each detail has been carefully selected to ensure the new space feels intentional, cohesive, and built to last.

This project reflects what we value most — craftsmanship, collaboration, and creating spaces that truly belong. We’re looking forward to sharing the finishing touches as this transformation continues.

From concept to construction — and now, real transformation.

This custom farmhouse addition has come a long way since our last update. The structure is complete, siding is on, windows are in, and you can truly see how the new space blends beautifully with the original farmhouse. The contrast of the dark vertical siding against the classic blue exterior adds just the right amount of character while still honoring the home’s roots.

Inside, cathedral ceilings and expansive windows will flood the space with natural light, and the unfinished basement below offers room to grow for years to come. What once felt like an idea on paper is now taking shape as a thoughtfully designed, functional addition that feels like it’s always belonged here.

We love watching a home evolve while preserving its story — more to come as this farmhouse continues its next chapter.
