Congratulations to the Valero Energy St. Charles Refinery 2025 Volunteer of the Year, Dino W. Dino is a millwright in the West Plant who began his career with Valero in April 2022. In 2025, he logged an impressive 119 volunteer hours! Dino was recognized at our volunteer of the year appreciation event, along with other Valero and DGD St. Charles Volunteers, held at the site. Collectively, Valero St. Charles and DGD logged more than 6,000 volunteer hours in 2025.

Valero Energy is excited to extend its partnership with the Pontchartrain Conservancy through a $1 million, five-year commitment to continue supporting a multi-year coastal forest restoration initiative around the Pontchartrain Basin.

Recently, representatives from Valero Energy stopped by to officially renew a five-year grant with Pontchartrain Conservancy, supporting our science-based swamp restoration work across the Pontchartrain Basin. 🌱

Valero Energy St. Charles Volunteers had a great time helping at the Special Olympics River Parishes Track Event earlier this month held at Destrehan High School. While local athletes competed in various track and field events, Valero Volunteers helped measure for the events, recorded results and handed out ribbons. Congratulations and good luck to all those who qualified to compete at the state Special Olympics Louisiana games in May!
