The Valero Energy St. Charles Refinery had a GRAND time in Grand Isle, LA raising money for St. John United Way! We’re excited to share that Valero St. Charles’ 5th Annual Cast It Forward Fishing Rodeo raised a record-breaking $333,674 in support of St. John United Way.

This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors and business partners, whose commitment and participation helped make this event our most successful yet!

Celebrating Outstanding Safety Performance!

Valero Energy St. Charles and Diamond Green Diesel are proud to share that we were recently honored by the Gulf Coast Safety Council (GCSC) for our 2025 safety performance with not one—but two Outstanding Owner Safety Performance Awards!

These awards recognize Gulf Coast chemical, refining, and energy facilities that demonstrate exceptional safety performance and innovation. To qualify, facilities must maintain industry-leading low incident rates, complete a rigorous application process, and uphold a strong, unified safety culture across both employees and contractors.

Valero St. Charles and DGD Achievements:
✅ 500,000–1,000,000 man-hours category
Diamond Green Diesel earned top honors.
✅ Greater than 1,000,000 man-hours category
Valero St. Charles Refinery took the top spot.

Even more impressive, both sites were the only refineries in their categories to achieve Zero recordable injuries – a testament to the dedication, discipline, and collaboration of our entire workforce.
