Steve from Brown Contracting had a New Jersey architect spec a rubber membrane for this roof deck in Montrose, Pennsylvania.
He went with fiberglass instead.
In this one Steve explains what fiberglass actually is, why he went against the spec, and why he called us in to do it. Rubber sits on top and relies on seams. Fiberglass bonds to the substrate and cures into one solid surface with nothing to fail. On a roof deck over living space, that's the whole job.
Both our crews went up for this one. You'll see the house and the install.
Builders and GCs β we sub out fiberglass and roof deck work up and down the shore and we travel for the bigger ones.
