Kim Hoover has been Lakeside's Payroll/HR Specialist for 9 years. She can't imagine being anywhere else and says this is by far the best company she's ever worked for!

Kim's favorite part of the job: The family and fun atmosphere where everyone supports each other, no matter what.

Her advice to the next generation: "Go for it! College isn't for everyone and we need people in the trades just as much as other areas."

Outside of work, Kim has a wonderful husband who spoils her (especially with his cooking!), two beautiful daughters, a son-in-law and future son-in-law, and is about to become a GRANDMA in September! She loves to read, spend time outdoors, and recently started making chunky blankets.

The Lakeside team came together today to celebrate Kevin Weiss's retirement!

Kevin joined us in August 1990 and spent 35+ years as our Warehouse Manager, consistently making sure every job site had what it needed. His professionalism, reliability, and steady presence have been a constant across countless projects throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

We're so grateful we got to honor him today. In retirement, Kevin and his wife, Melissa, will be enjoying more time with their family and at the lake.

Travis Dort is building his career with Lakeside as an Apprentice! He's learning quickly and taking pride in his ability to pick up new skills on the jobsite.

Travis's favorite part of the job: Working in new places and for new people, plus discovering the innovative solutions needed to get each job done right.

His advice to the next generation: "Be prepared to try something new every day." Travis also reminds his younger self to "stay consistent."

Outside of work, Travis volunteers at a program that helps kids find something to do after school hours, and enjoys playing games in his free time.

Women in Construction Week gives us the perfect opportunity to celebrate someone who has been building her legacy at Lakeside for nearly 9 years.

Jessica Lee is a Carpenter, Foreman, third-generation tradesperson, and mentor to those coming up behind her. With family roots in the trades going back decades, including a grandfather who retired from Lakeside in 1995, Jessica didn't just inherit a love for the craft. She made it her own.

Her message to young women considering the trades: "Make your dreams a reality, girls - you can do it too!"
