This summer, Rowan and Jackson didn't just observe β they contributed. π
Our 2026 Summer Internship Program at Olson Aluminum Castings challenged both interns to take full ownership of real projects with real impact. From hands-on time on the foundry floor to standing in front of leadership and presenting their findings, these two earned every bit of what they accomplished.
Rowan led a project focused on degassing process improvements β analyzing current practices, identifying opportunities, and presenting data-backed recommendations to the team.
Jackson took on process sheets and furnace allocation, developing uniform board standards built around operator input and designed to give the foundry floor one clear signal at every station.
Both interns presented their work to OAC leadership in a formal capstone session β and the room was impressed.
We believe the foundry industry's future depends on structured, intentional talent development. Our internship program is built on that belief. We're proud of what Rowan and Jackson built this summer, and we're grateful they chose to build it here.
Congratulations to both of you. You set the bar high. π€
