🌬️ When wind, sand, and salt air team up, electrical infrastructure can take a beating.

At a wind farm in Brazil, harsh coastal conditions and blowing sand contributed to corrosion on powerline clamps at a transfer station. The power was temporarily shut down so the corrosion-control work could be carried out.

After the clamps were cleaned and corrosion was removed, most received internal protection with ElectriCorr™ VpCI®-239 and external protection with VpCI®-396 primer and VpCI®-384 topcoat. ⚡🛡️

And that was just one part of the corrosion mitigation strategy used at the wind farm.
