It’s very critical to remove all damaged items post flood as quick as possible, and ensure home moisture levels are reduced to avoid future mold issues. Delaying this process will only cost you more money in the end and may not even be covered by insurance. This pretty much sums it up.

My business Copley General Contracting & Remediation is licensed in BOTH construction and remediation, and care about doing the job with integrity. We currently have two crews for tearout and remediation readily available, which includes the demo, dryout, and antimicrobial remediation. Get it done right the first time so you aren't calling us in a couple months with mold growth.

We also have openings for drywall, painting, and flooring (shell rebuild), but currently, we cannot take on any more full remodel projects to ensure we honor our current customers.

FYI - I've come across several shady experiences in the last few days. One of which was a licensed electrician who quoted an elderly woman $12k for post-flood "necessary work" that was completely unnecessary. There was nothing at all wrong with her electrical when our electrician looked at it. Make sure you are getting a second eye and even better, go with a professional with a personal reference. And I promise you that it costs more to fix bad work than get it done right the first time.
