This summer at the Newton-Weston Bridge Bundle project, SPS-Walsh JV crews completed the next phase of I-90 mainline bridge construction. I-90 Westbound traffic was then flipped onto the new bridge and will allow for the third and final phase of mainline bridge demolition and new construction to begin. Stay tuned for upcoming work this fall which will include pile driving, concrete substructure construction, and I-90 noise wall construction.

Under the full moon, the new I-495 bridge over the Merrimack River in Haverhill, MA is taking shape.

The SPS-D.W. White Construction JV crews have spent the spring and summer months working on foundations and substructure, with progress largely hidden below the highway. Now, recent progress of the structural steel er****on is hard to miss.

The new bridge is getting longer every night, one beam at a time.

Many thanks to all of the crews putting in the work to make it happen, including Local 7-Ironworkers, Local 4-Operators, and Local 175-Laborers.

Recently, our summer interns had the opportunity to attend a site tour of the Seabrook-Hampton project. Interns, their supervisors, and the SPS executive team attended a presentation on the project before walking the site.

Thank you to our interns for being a part of the SPS team, and thank you to the supervisors who took the time to mentor these students. At SPS, we firmly believe these students are the future of construction, and we appreciate everyone here who took the time to teach them about our industry.

: Last Friday, the NH Department of Transportation Seabrook-Hampton Bridge Project Team poured concrete to form three of the six remaining spans of the bridge deck. Today, the team finished the last three spans.

SPS Maintenance Crews have been performing concrete deck repairs on the Revere Route 1A over Route 16/MBTA Commuter Rail Bridge. The work, which falls under a broader preservation contract, consisted of milling the bridge deck and completing the concrete deck repairs. The bridge was then paved by Brox Industries, Inc.
