The NH Department of Transportation Neil R. Underwood Memorial Bridge Project Team had a momentous week. On Tuesday members from the local community, the State of New Hampshire, and the project team gathered for the official ribbon cutting ceremony. On Wednesday, the new bridge opened to traffic.

This morning, the existing Neil R. Underwood Memorial drawbridge opened for the last time, performed by operators of the NHDOT Bridge Maintenance Division. The existing bridge is now ready for demolition, which will begin next week.

A big congratulations to the project team for this milestone!
