STEMful San Francisco STEMful-San Francisco is a science, technology, engineering and mathematic (STEM) focused community center.

It is created to provide parents a space to bring their children to learn and become curious about the vast STEM related topics. We invite other community providers that share a love for teaching and encourage children ages 4-12 years old to take an interest in STEM to contact us for collaborations.

Did you know that giving a child too many choices can actually stall their creativity? 🤯 It’s called “choice paralysis,” and it happens to the best of us!

One of our favorite hacks for setting up a Home Makerspace is The Power of Three. 💡

Instead of dumping out the whole craft bin, try setting out just three specific items—like a cardboard tube, a roll of masking tape, and some string. By limiting the materials, you challenge your child’s brain to think more deeply about how to use what they have. That’s where the real engineering magic happens! 🛠️✨

⭐ Chien-Shiung Wu – The “First Lady of Physics.”

⭐ Ellison Onizuka – The first Asian American in space.

⭐ Flossie Wong-Staal – A leader in molecular biology.

Wondering where we’ve been? 🔍

We’ve been busy making magic happen! 🧪✨

Behind the scenes, our team has been running full-speed with afterschool programs, holiday camps, movie nights, and birthday parties. It’s a true labor of love managed by our dedicated teaching staff and us moms.

We couldn’t do what we do without Melissa, our brilliant curriculum lead (who is missing from this photo but definitely here in spirit!). Today, we’re celebrating the strength of motherhood. We can do it all, but we’re even stronger when we have our hive and partners backing us up. Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing women in our community! 🥂
