We first mentioned the possibility last week and it continues to look like snow is going to be likely at elevation in the ADKs, Southern Greens, Whites, and Longfellows between Thursday night and Saturday morning. Temperatures are going to be running 0F-10F below average in the overnights and 10F-20F below average in the afternoons through the end of the weekend. Given that it is late May we're also going to need the help of elevation, good timing to avoid daytime warming, and intense precipitation to create some dynamic cooling of the atmosphere so that those flakes can survive long enough to pile up.

The GFS is shown here and the 12z run today definitely came in on the high side of models. The ground of course is not frozen so we may not see it accumulate much except where it is more intense and longer lasting. This would be skiable of course if there is a foot of depth on a grassy surface but it will also likely be slow and manky snow given the temperatures. Summit accumulations will likely top out somewhere between 5" and 15" but we're too early to dial that in given how marginal the temperatures will be.

We normally wouldn't share a "Go Fund Me, and we never have, but we thrive to serve the community. And eventhough this good friend of our family moved out of our community to find more affordable living conditions years ago not to far south of us, it doesn't seem right not to put this out there for our community to give back to someone in hard times. How hard this must be for this family, and how humbling it must be for this family head to ask the community and his friends for help in these sadest times. We are exited about our new (to us) Mitsubishi MM55SR exavator. It will enable us to do more work in house like smaller excavation jobs and demolition! Should we return it back to it's glory with original purple and grey?
