DCI Engineers recently joined project partners and attendees for a tour of The Bush School Middle School in Seattle’s Madison Valley neighborhood, offering an up-close look at the building’s mass timber structure.
Building on lessons learned from The Bush School Upper School, the Middle School team evolved the structural approach with a one-way beam system and 3-ply CLT panels.
DCI’s Managing Principal of the Seattle office and Principal in Charge of the project, Danielle Jacobs, along with Associate Harry Rodin III and Senior Project Engineer Jacob Forbes, joined the tour to discuss the project’s materials and structural system integration and answer questions from attendees.
Thank you to WoodWorks, Mithun, Bloom, and Venture for leading, and to everyone who joined us to learn more about the project and its mass timber design.
