“Every worker deserves to go home at the end of their shift.”

Each day our crew members start their day with the expectation they will be returning home at the end of the workday or week. After yesterday's incident on I-95 in Waterville, resulting in the deaths of two MaineDOT employees, we are abruptly reminded of how significantly that expectation can be impacted by the people and world around us.

Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences go out to and are with the families, friends, and coworkers of the two crew members who lost their life, as they navigate through this devastating event.

We hope you will join us and take a moment of your morning to think of the lives lost and impacted, recognize the hazards of associated with construction zones and transportation, and keep this tragic event as a reminder of how much impact we have upon the lives of those who call this great state and country home.
