Sylvan recently supported a multi-year modernization program at a 3 million sq. ft. automotive assembly plant, delivering complete General Assembly Conveyors and Tooling upgrades, and the installation of a new Robotic Wet 3 paint system while the facility remained fully operational.

Working across multiple production centers, Sylvan seamlessly provided:
-Turnkey General Assembly conveyor and tooling upgrades
-Installation of over 5,000 ft. of conveyor
-More than 1,000 data drops
-Millwright, rigging, electrical, and piping support

This integrated, multi-trade approach strengthened automation capacity, improved long-term system reliability, and helped the facility meet evolving production and technology demands.

With experience in marketing, graphic design, and coding, Evie brings a fresh and tech-savvy perspective to the team. Throughout her internship, she's excited to deepen her knowledge of branding, digital marketing, and content creation.

Introducing Julia Archer, a new Sylvan intern and Architecture student at the University of Detroit Mercy. This summer, Julia is working with our Conveyor Division, supporting the development of 3D layouts.

Julia brings a strong design perspective while building hands-on experience in technical project development. She was drawn to Sylvan by the opportunity to strengthen her technical skills, collaborate with a large team, and gain a better understanding of how design supports project ex*****on in the field.

One area she's especially excited about is expanding her AutoCAD experience and learning how those tools are applied to on-site work.

Fun Fact: Julia spent three months in Italy, where she learned alabaster sculpting and contributed to a proposal focused on reactivating an ancient Roman theater!

We’re excited to have Julia on board and look forward to the fresh perspective and curiosity she’ll bring to the team.

This summer, Chris Galligan joins Sylvan as a Corporate Development intern, supporting Sylvan’s Mergers and Acquisitions and broader growth initiatives. A Finance major at Providence College, Chris is looking forward to gaining firsthand exposure to the strategy, analysis, and decision-making that go into growing a business through acquisitions and strategy development.

In his role, Chris hopes to support the team as they evaluate new businesses and help with the integration process after an acquisition. He is especially interested in building experience with deal structuring, financial modeling, and the due diligence involved in bringing new companies to the Sylvan Group and broader services industries.

Chris was drawn to Sylvan by the opportunity to connect his finance background with previous experience in the contracting space. For him, this internship is a meaningful way to explore a highly active area of the business while contributing to work that supports Sylvan’s continued momentum.

Fun fact: Chris has a twin brother named Will!

The future of construction is being shaped by better data, stronger connectivity, and more streamlined workflows.

Over the last year, Sylvan's sheet metal operations in Dearborn have been leveraging Stratus software in select areas of our fabrication process to help strengthen the connection between BIM coordination and the fabrication shop floor.

As one of our Construction Technology Specialists recently shared, "There's more project data available than ever before, but making that information visible and useful to both project management and field teams can be a challenge. Tools like Stratus help bridge that gap by helping teams speak the same language."

At Sylvan, we're continually exploring technologies that improve visibility, coordination, and help teams make better-informed decisions across the project lifecycle.
