We were honored to join Aqua Action onstage for the keynote panel at the Michigan Blue Economy Summit at University of Michigan Flint as their official Water in Agriculture partner. It was an exciting conversation that explored sector-specific challenges for water technology and its adoption. Our CEO Mike Skinner offered an agricultural industry perspective to the discussion on potential barriers to success and what entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and ecosystem organizations need to understand if we want to accelerate adoption. What a great time at the 10th annual AgroExpo! We had great chats about soil health and the importance of water in agriculture with Dr. Tim Boring, Director of MDARD, MABA President Chuck Lippstreu, and MABA’s incredible team of interns! We even got a few shots of the animals at the Critter Barn!

The most important input in a grower’s tank is the one that determines the performance of all the rest of them: water.

There is constant talk in all corners of agriculture about fertilizer efficiency, crop protection, biologicals, adjuvants, etc. There is a lot less focus on water's role in agriculture, despite the fact that water's pH, mineral composition and redox environment have a significant impact on the efficiency of all of those products, as well as overall soil and crop health.

Water dissolves, transports, influences acid-base chemistry and carries nutrients through the agricultural system. Understanding water's important role in agriculture leads us to a bigger question: What if improving the chemical environment of the water could help create better conditions for all the chemistry working within it?

At Aqueus, that's what we are exploring with our stabilized hydrogen chemistry Tyagra, the active ingredient in Growthful. We had an incredible time at the Montcalm County Potato Field Day hosted by the Michigan Potato Industry Commission and MSU Extension. We got to hear from so many incredible researchers working hard to improve irrigation and wound healing for potatoes and all row crops.
