New cutting room, who dis?

We moved the whole faceting setup into my brother’s new house—way more space, way more potential… In the meantime, turns out relocating a full faceting operation is less “quick weekend project” and more “archaeological dig with power tools.”

Between this move and building out a new plant at the mine, we’re deep in the kind of work that doesn’t photograph well—but makes everything after it possible.

It’s a mess now, but give it a little time—this room’s about to earn its keep.

Many people don’t realize that sapphires come in far more than just blue.
They occur naturally in a wide range of colors—clear, pink, purple, green, yellow, and even orange.

What’s less known is that most sapphires in jewelry stores are heat treated to achieve the deep blue color people commonly associate with sapphires. Heat treatment is standard in the industry.

We don’t heat treat ours.

We’re fortunate to pull sapphires from the ground with strong natural color, which means they keep the unique qualities nature gave them—subtle shifts, changes in tone, color sectioning, and character you won’t see in treated stones.

If you’re curious about what makes natural sapphires different, come by our booth at Kino.
We’d love to show you—and talk stones with you. 💎
