As dove season gets underway, remember to keep safety in sight-not just for yourself, bur for our electric system too.

🎯Never shoot toward power lines, poles, substations, or other electrical equipment. A single shot can damage equipment, cause an outage, or create a serious safety hazard.

Enjoy the hunt, know your surroundings, and keep your shots pointed safely away from electrical infrastructure.

Stay safe. Hunt smart. Protect the power.⚡

🎉We could not be more proud of our Grayson-Collin Electric Cooperative YLC Delegate!🎉

This moment did not happen by chance. Clara put in the work every step of the way-from the initial application and interview process, through multiple rounds of interviews, to standing in front of a room full of peers, parents, and cooperative leaders to deliver her final speech before being selected to represent Texas.

And now, after all of those steps, she has earned the incredible opportunity to serve as the Youth Leadership Council representative for Texas!

Her servant's heart, leadership, commitment to her family and FFA, and the faith she carries with her have been evident throughout this entire journey. We have watched her step up, speak with confidence, and represent not only herself, but her family, community, and cooperative with such grace.

As part of her new role, Clara:
💎Traveled back to D.C. for a leadership conference in July.
💎 Develop a service plan to help serve her local community.
💎Will travel to San Diego in 2027 for the NRECA Annual Meeting.

☀Extreme heat is here! Stay cool while managing your energy:

⚡Close blinds and curtains during the hottest part of the day.
⚡Use ceiling fans to help you feel cooler.
⚡Avoid using heat-producing appliances during peak afternoon hours when possible.
⚡Make sure your HVAC system is clean and working efficiently.

Most importantly, take care of yourself and check on those who may be more vulnerable to the heat. Stay hydrated, take breaks, and find a cool place if needed.

Another successful Annual Meeting is in the books, and we couldn't have done it without our incredible members!

Thank you to everyone who joined us, asked questions, connected with our team, and helped make this year's meeting such a success. Your support, involvement, and commitment to your cooperative are what make Grayson-Collin Electric Cooperative so special.
