A lot has changed at Riverside Church since we broke ground!

Stevens Construction is adding 7,387 square feet to the existing facility along with 5,850 square feet of renovations. The project includes an expanded lobby, new restrooms, upgraded interior finishes, a new covered patio with seating for 272 people, and an 81,700-square-foot soccer field.

Throughout construction, Riverside Church has remained fully open and operational, requiring careful planning and coordination by our project team to minimize disruption to the congregation and staff.

There’s a lot happening on site as we work toward completion in spring 2027. Take a look at the latest progress! 🙌

We’re excited to welcome Jorge Ledesma to Stevens Construction as a Superintendent! 👏

Jorge brings more than 15 years of construction experience across commercial high-rise, multifamily, K-12 and warehouse projects. His experience leading field operations, maintaining safety and quality, and keeping projects on schedule will be a great addition to our team.

Jorge also brings more than 17 years of active military service as an Army Sergeant First Class, where he developed extensive leadership, training and problem-solving experience.

Welcome to the team, Jorge! 🧡💙

Work continues on the John & Carol Walter Nature Experience, which will feature a new 6,859-square-foot Welcome Center, three-story parking garage with a solar rooftop, preserve trail, walking loop, amphitheater, expanded deck and more.

Our team is currently installing underground utilities and has officially started reframing the main deck areas. Once complete, the deck will connect the existing Conservation Hall, Dalton Discovery Center, and Learning Lab to the new Welcome Center.

We’re proud to help bring this exciting new experience to the Conservancy and look forward to sharing more progress along the way! 🧡

One of the perks of working at Stevens Construction is our annual Spa Retreat! 🧖‍♀️✨

This past weekend, the ladies of our Fort Myers and Orlando offices were treated to a night at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point. The weekend kicked off with dinner Friday night and a very competitive game of Spoons, followed by Saturday morning spa treatments and a day by the pool.

We always enjoy the chance to get both offices together and have a little fun outside of work!

A look from above at the latest progress on our Lee Health project! 🚜

Structural steel is going up on the new 60,000-square-foot medical office building and ambulatory surgery center on the HealthPark campus in Fort Myers.

The new facility will expand access to pediatric-focused care with a pediatric surgery center, endoscopy suites, specialty clinic, exam and treatment rooms, and space for Lee Health’s graduate medical education program.

We’re grateful to be part of a project that will serve Southwest Florida families for years to come.

Construction is officially underway at Riverside Church of Fort Myers!

Stevens Construction is adding 7,387-square-feet to the existing facility along with 5,850-square-feet of alterations. The project includes a reconfigured and expanded lobby, new restrooms, upgraded interior finishes, a new covered patio with seating for 272 people, and an 81,700-square-foot soccer field.

Our team spent two years in preconstruction working alongside the Riverside Church team, identifying nearly $400,000 in value-engineering opportunities while keeping the project on budget and on schedule. Throughout construction, the church will remain fully open and operational for its congregation.

Completion is slated for spring 202, and we cannot wait to bring this one to life for the Fort Myers community! 💙

Another Captiva Island Inn progress update! 🌴🔨

The colors are really starting to pop on Andy Rosse Lane! Both elevated buildings are taking shape with roofing, windows, and signature exterior finishes coming together.

As the first ground-up Captiva accommodation to begin construction after Hurricane Ian, this project is an exciting milestone for Captiva. The first building is scheduled for completion in September, with the second following in November!

We can’t wait to share more as we get closer to completion! 👀

Hurricane season is here!🌀

We’ve repaired and rebuilt numerous businesses following hurricanes, and one thing we’ve learned firsthand is that preparation makes a difference.

One of the biggest mistakes we see is waiting until a storm is in the forecast to start preparing. By then, it may be too late to schedule inspections or complete important repairs, as contractors and service providers are often overwhelmed with calls.

Joe Cimilluca, our Director of Special Projects, shares a few simple steps property owners can take now to prepare before a storm.
