As a kid, President Dan Vanderheyden loved to build things. His first project was building a soapbox derby car with his Dad. He then progressed to furniture making, and eventually tore down the family cabin and built a year ‘round lake home with family members and friends. Today, as a custom homebuilder and premier home remodeler, Dan brings the highest level of personal commitment to his customers and projects. He is personally involved in every aspect of the building process. Black Dog Homes has refined the team concept including architects, designers, engineers and contractors, to create the perfect fit with each client and project. Our team approach results in a smooth and rewarding experience for our customers. Based on our commitment to outstanding customer service, Black Dog Homes has built a solid reputation among homeowners in the western suburbs.
