We’re proud to be a part of downtown Winston-Salem. For so many reasons. Here’s 2️⃣:
🏙️The physical connection to downtown is vital to the iQ.
Generally an innovation district needs to be located in a dense, urban environment to spur connections and draw people and companies in. An environment like, *ahem, ahem,* downtown Winston-Salem. The iQ couldn’t be an innovation district without it.
🤝 Being part of a thriving downtown in Winston-Salem has been in the vision for the iQ from the very beginning.
The iQ–long before the name “Innovation Quarter” ever existed–was born out of a partnership of people who love this city. This partnership was formed by city, county and state governments, local businesses, developers and community members, Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Wexford Science & Technology, the iQ’s OG real estate and development partner.
What all these partners had in common was a vision for downtown Winston-Salem as a place of community, collaboration and innovation. That vision slowly grew into what the iQ is today: a vibrant innovation district that spurs connections, builds community and fosters discovery.
And we love being a part of that. 🫶🏾
