D.E.I Projects was founded in 1990 as an electrical and instrumentation (E&I) contracting and supply company to serve the industrial automation sector.

From cable installations and switchgear to commissioning and live operation, every stage plays a critical role in delivering a fully functional Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) system.

Pre-Commissioning: Electrical insulation, instrumentation loops and fibre optic testing.
Cold Commissioning: Motor rotation, VSDs, PLC communications and safety system verification.
Hot Commissioning: Bringing the 1800 kW Medium Voltage VSD-driven exhaust fan motors to full operational load.
Final Handover: Compliance certification, test reports and quality documentation.

The result? A fully integrated, life-saving underground ventilation system, delivered through rigorous testing, technical excellence and a commitment to mine safety.

With Women’s Day approaching on 9 August, we’re taking a moment to recognise the women who show up every day in workshops, on construction sites and in the electrical field, putting on their PPE, picking up the tools and getting the job done.

Engineering and labour intensive industries haven’t always been easy spaces for women, but every challenge overcome is helping pave the way for those who will follow.
