Aurelia would like to advise that road works at the intersection of The Peak Way and Kidman Way (access to the Peak Mine) will recommence on Monday 13 July 2026. The works form part of an upgrade to improve the intersection and accommodate B-Triple haul vehicles.

During this period, traffic control measures will be in place to ensure the safety of all road users and workers, in accordance with approvals from Transport for NSW (TfNSW). These measures will include:

• a temporary speed reduction to 40 km/h within the work zone
• installation of temporary traffic signals
• reduction to one lane of traffic to manage traffic flow
• temporary lighting in and around the traffic control area.

We thank the community for your patience while these works are completed. Please follow all traffic control measures, including posted signage, temporary speed limits and directions from traffic controllers to help keep everyone safe.

For further information or if you have any questions, please contact the Peak Mine on (02) 6830 2265, or speak to one of our employee representatives in our Community Hub, open Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays.

Our team from our Peak Operation came together to celebrate Clean Up Australia Day this week, collecting an impressive 40 bags of rubbish along the highway between the Peak Mine and Great Cobar.

While Clean Up Australia Day is traditionally held in March, we hold our clean-up during the cooler months, making it easier and safer for our people to get involved!

The day reflected our Value of Care in action: Care for our environment by helping protect the Cobar environment, and care for our community by keeping local roadsides clean and welcoming.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part. Every bag collected made a difference!

Future engineers, scientists and innovators were hard at work in Cobar last week!

We were proud to once again support the Annual Outback Science and Engineering Challenge at the Cobar Bowling and Golf Club.
Alongside our $3,000 contribution to the event, six of our team members volunteered their time to help run activities and encourage students throughout the day.

The Challenge gives students the opportunity to explore STEM in a fun and practical way, with the winning school progressing to compete at the state level.

We're proud to support programs like these that help young people discover their potential, build confidence and explore future career opportunities while strengthening the communities where we live and work.

From everyone at Aurelia, congratulations to all the students and schools who took part in this year's Challenge!

We’re excited to announce we have strengthened our exploration position in the highly prospective Cobar Basin through an earn-in agreement with Legacy Minerals and the grant of two additional exploration licences in the Nymagee District.

The earn-in agreement provides us with a pathway to earn a majority interest in Exploration Licences EL9511 and EL9858, which are contiguous with our existing tenement package and adjacent to our Peak processing plant. This strategic position provides access to a significant structural corridor considered highly prospective for Cobar-style mineralisation.

Together, these additions strengthen our position across the Cobar Basin and support our long-term strategy of building a sustainable pipeline of future growth opportunities.

We’re proud to continue supporting the Cobar community, with more than $316,000 in Voluntary Planning Agreement contributions. This is the first annual payment agreed to coincide with the commencement of physical works under the approved State Significant Development New Cobar Complex Project.

The funding provided to Cobar Shire Council will support the Community Enhancement Fund, Early Learning Centre and Resource Contributions, helping invest back into the services, facilities and infrastructure that support local families and our wider community.

General Manager Cobar Region, Angus Wyllie, formally presented the contribution to Cobar Mayor, Jarrod Marsden, during our recent Community Meeting at the Cobar Bowls and Golf Club.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the night!

What a fantastic weekend at the 74th Annual Cobar Show!

Our team loved being part of such an important community event, catching up with locals and visitors at the Aurelia stand, sharing plenty of laughs and handing out merchandise across the two days.

We were also proud to once again sponsor the Show’s horse events, a much-loved tradition and highlight of the weekend for many attendees.

A big thank you to the Cobar Show Society Inc for delivering another successful event, to everyone who stopped by to say hello, and to all of our Aurelia volunteers who gave their time across the weekend to help bring the stand to life.
