Welcome back to our Quinn Homes - Custom Builders Sydney Baulkham Hills Build Series.

Today, in Part 27 of the series, we are installing the Flooring.

This home has 200mm Pergo Trondheim planks, in the colour natural warm oak, installed throughout the home, including the steps to the lower ground floor and the staircase too.

These boards have been laid with moisture barrier underneath to help prevent moisture shortening the life of the flooring.

Extra care has been taken to ensure the boards continue in a straight line, adding extra depth and character to each room.

The warm oak colour brightens the home, giving the home a warm Scandinavian feel.

Now that the flooring has been installed, we can see the interior has been elevated and complemented the rest of the home, tying together the spaces.

The photo album from the recently completed Quinn Homes - Custom Builders Sydney Killara Build Series.

This is the third home we have built not only in this street, but on the same side of the street.

This two storey, five bedroom, three bathroom, three living, study + double garage home is a split level design to work with the natural undulation of the land. We had some height restrictions to contend with, hence the design.

The split level ground floor ceiling has a rear ceiling height of 3.3m, large custom designed kitchen, with a butlers pantry, mudroom and laundry all within close proximity.

Welcome back to our Quinn Homes - Custom Builders Sydney Baulkham Hills Build Series.

Today, in Part 26 of the series, we are looking at the Fixout.

Fixout is an important step in any build as it is usually the items we see and interact with the most, such as doors and door handles.

The front entry door we’ve installed is a 1200mm wide Hume NEX36 frosted glass door.

As we move inside, the cavity sliding doors to the multipurpose room are now fitted with Hume Accent Range HA5 doors, along with the HAG9 under-stair storage door now installed beneath the staircase.

Throughout the home, we’re also installing half splay architraves around the doors and windows.

Upstairs, the bedroom entry doors are using the HAG9 profile, while the wardrobe doors feature the simpler HA5 design for consistency throughout the home.

You’ll also notice the skirtings haven’t been installed yet. We complete those after flooring goes down so we can avoid scotia trims and achieve a cleaner final finish throughout the home.
