Now you know the difference between single-phase and three-phase, here’s a real example from a recent Glen Huntly install.
 
The homeowner had a three-phase property, two Tesla EVs and high energy usage. While they originally considered one Powerwall 3, the system was ultimately designed with two Powerwall 3 batteries paired with a 19kW LONGi 475W solar system.
 
Why? Because on a three-phase property, one battery can only back up selected parts of the home during a blackout. With two batteries, around two-thirds of the home can now continue running while storing far more solar energy throughout the day.
