♻️ Last Chance to See Reimagined ♻️

This Saturday is your final opportunity to experience Reimagined, an inspiring exhibition celebrating creativity, sustainability, and the transformation of waste into art.

Did you know that millions of tonnes of textiles are sent to landfill every year, despite many fabrics being reusable, repairable, or recyclable? Through weaving and textile art, discarded clothing, fabric scraps, wool, and other unwanted materials can be given a beautiful new purpose.

The exhibition features stunning woven works created from rescued textiles, showcasing the rich colours, textures, and creative possibilities hidden within materials that might otherwise be thrown away. Each piece tells a story of renewal and demonstrates how art can help us rethink waste and value.

Come and explore the exhibition, meet the makers, and discover how creativity can breathe new life into discarded materials.

📅 Saturday 20 June
⏰ 10am – 2pm

Don't miss this final chance to see these remarkable works and be inspired by the possibilities of creative reuse.

Weaving with Waste
Weaving offers a vast creative outlet and uses an amazing amount of waste material, including soft plastics, old clothing and textile scraps, leftover wool, cardboard and newspaper, to create works that are both enchanting and vibrant.
The wall weavings exhibited here today have been crafted from wool and rope offcuts, discarded clothing, newspaper, cardboard and soft plastics such as shopping bags, demonstrating the creative potential of materials that would otherwise be destined for landfill.
All works on display have been created by the Weavers from Waste group, who meet every second Saturday to share the craft of weaving, develop new skills and techniques, and enjoy the company of like-minded friends. If you feel this is something you would like to be involved with, please get in contact with one of our RfR volunteers.

Step into a world where creativity transforms the discarded into the extraordinary. Reimagined, opening June 6th at the RFR Eurobodalla, with the Weavers from Waste, Gabrielle Powell and Michelle Petersen inviting visitors to challenge perceptions of waste and value. This innovative exhibition brings together artists who breathe new life into materials that would otherwise be forgotten—plastic, metal, paper, and more—turning them into striking works of art that inspire reflection and spark conversation about sustainability and the environment.

Through inventive reuse and bold imagination, Reimagined celebrates the power of transformation and the beauty that emerges from what we too often overlook. Each piece is a testament to the resourcefulness of artists committed to reshaping our relationship with consumption, encouraging us all to see potential in the unwanted. Join us at RFR Eurobodalla for an unforgettable exploration of creativity, conservation, and the limitless possibilities of reimagined art.
