Across Australia, underground infrastructure plays a critical role in keeping telecommunications networks connected.
Over time as networks age and change, asset records do not always reflect what is actually in the ground. That gap, can make it harder to identify risks, prioritise maintenance and prevent unplanned network issues.
You may not realise it, but this impacts us all. From network outages to construction safety on our streets, to restoration during storms or floods.
That's where AllianceSI comes in. Since 2021, we have delivered a National Underground Network Infrastructure Audit Program for a leading telecommunications provider, completing 813 audits across ACT, NSW, VIC, and WA.
Our specialist field team works across dispersed locations and complex environments to assess assets, capture geospatial data and photographic records before categorising issues as high risk or general. This gives the client accurate, up-to-date information to prioritise repairs and plan maintenance with greater confidence.
It is largely invisible and unglamorous work, but it provides an essential link between recorded asset information and real-world network conditions.
That is what makes these programs so important. They help protect the safety, integrity and long-term reliability of the infrastructure that keeps Australia connected.
